Sweet Stamps- Embossing Folder+Die Cut(s)+ Stamp- use all three

The Sweet Stamps Challenge this week is Embossing Folder+Die Cut(s)+ Stamp- use all three.
Oh how I loved playing this week. *New* in the store is Microfine Transparent Glitter. This is a close up of the glittery flower:
r
You can apply the glitter, color with Copics and even cut out die shapes with it- see:
Here is how quick and easy it is to use the Adhesive tape and the Microfine Glitter:
1)Take your cardstock- lay it on your stamping surface.
2)Lay the 2" Super Sticky Adhesive Tape on the paper side by side with minimal gaps (see below)

3)Peel off the top layer of the tape to expose the sticky surface
4)Sprinkle the Microfine Transparent glitter onto the sticky surface
5)burnish the glitter onto the sticky surface to make sure the surface is covered well (I used my finger)
6)Stamp on the glitter and color it in with Copics
That is all there is to it- stamp and color and Oh- so pretty!

The first card is layered onto a Polished Stone background in blues. The 2nd card is made on a background called Colorwash Alcohol- both techniques from the Technique Junkies newsletter.

Here are the Sweet Stamps products I used on my card:

Oriental Stamp Art- Black and White + Red

I am in a Yahoo group called Oriental Stamp Art....it is a very active group with Swaps and Mingles- so I joined in a Mingle called Black and White PLUS Red.
I have a Cheery Lynn Die I have been wanting to cut out..... the Lace Dragon Die- it is large 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" so it pretty much fills up the card. It is detailed, so I did not want to embellish it too much.
The red panel is a sparkly cardstock from Paper Temptress. I cut out a red one to- and decided to use the black one on red- but the red one made it into the envelope for my swap partner to use at a later date : )

Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Stamps Romance (Love, Wedding, Anniversary)

The Sweet Stamps Challenge this week is Romance (Love, Wedding, Anniversary)

I had a blast making a plaque for a special person! I stamped the Vintage Floral Frame image on Watercolor paper and embossed it with Medieval Metals EP. Don't forget to use the Anti-Static pouch so you so not have any fly away EP.  I watercolored with Peerless Watercolors. I outlined the the frame of the image with the Cheery Lynn Die Sophia's Heart- I deconstructed it.....  The little hearts on the top of the plaque- also from the die : )

Here is a closer look at the deconstructed die, the pearls I added and the little hearts. I added a Seam binding triple bow and an antique button for a little bling.

Sweet Stamps- Think Pink (Shades of Pink)

The Sweet Stamps Challenge this week is Think Pink (Shades of Pink).
Oh how I love Pink...... But, I could not get the color right in this picture no matter what I did......
I stamped the frame and the floral image in Versamark and embossed them in White EP onto Parchment Vellum.  I also stamped the floral image in White Shades die ink on vellum- just a smidge larger than ATC size and put that piece behind the frame.  I fussy cut out the flowers and colored them in with Copic markers. Next, I applied Pink Highlights Creative Inspirations Paint over the pink flowers. The middle part of the frame has been pierced- here is a close up picture:

I used spray adhesive to attach the card to the Coordinations Amaryllis cardstock (In the Berry Reds collection).  I added a bow and some Soft Pink Rhinestones.

I made an ATC too : )
I colored on the back of the Vellum with the same Copic markers. I used stitching to adhere the vellum to the Coordinations cardstock.

Here are the Sweet Stamps products I used on my card:

Michael Strong Owl Blog Hop

The Michael Strong Yahoo Group is having an "Owl' themed blog hop. I used the NEW Whimsical Owl set that has just been released.  How did you like Michael's Blue Owl
OK- my silly side came out- and since it is Superbowl Sunday, I had to make a card with a football theme.
So, Whoooooooo do you think will win the Superbowl???  Well, it's not my home team (the Chicago Bears), so I am looking forward to seeing the commercials and hoping it is a good game : )
I stamped and embossed the owl image onto Cryogen White cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers. The sentiment is computer generated. The football and flag are from Create with TLC.

 My second card:
I could not capture the shimmer- at all....The owl was stamped and embossed on Cryogen White cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers.  I used a *new* Technique Junkies technique (from the new newsletter just out) called rolled backgrounds. I used an Ivory (shimmery) cardstock, a Copper metallic cardstock and Cryogen White text weight cardstock all from Paper Temptress.
The image on the Shimmery layer under the rolled layer is a freebie Michael gave us recently- you can find it HERE on his blog- from the Dec 29th post.  The Sizzix corner dies were cut out in the Copper metallic cardstock and gold Bo Bunny rhinestones were added. The sentiment is by Create with TLC.

There are ten blogs in this hop- and one lucky commenter will be randomly chosen to WIN the Michael Strong Whimsical Owl stamp set.  The winner will be announced next Sunday, Feb 10th on Hetty's Blog.

*Bev* is the next stop on the hop.  (It is a circular blog hop, so there is no beginning or end- just keep going till you are back at the first blog you visited).

FYI: The Yahoo group is :  Michael Strong yahoogroup If you own any of the Michael Strong stamps- come join us! There is daily inspiration provided by a volunteer card captain and monthly challenges!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed all of the fun ideas on the blog hop!
